Reporting on the implementation of election preparations since the first session, Secretary General of the National Assembly , Head of the National Assembly Office, Chief of the National Election Council Office Le Quang Tung said that the work related to the issuance of documents directing and guiding the election has been carried out. In addition, information and propaganda work; personnel preparation work; legal documents and handling of complaints and denunciations; security and order assurance work; election preparations in localities; and direction of activities of sub-committees and the Office of the National Election Council are being urgently deployed.
Concluding the session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged that all tasks were on schedule, preparing conditions for the election.
The National Assembly Chairman noted that preparations for the upcoming national conference on election work must be standard and effective, requiring focus and synchronization right now.

The National Assembly Chairman said that in the last three consecutive elections, Vietnam has achieved a high voter turnout rate (over 99%); the structure and composition of delegates basically meet the requirements. However, in reality, there are still some shortcomings, such as: some localities are still confused in preparing documents and forms; the application of information technology is still limited and unsynchronized, leading to a large amount of manual work, prone to errors. Therefore, the National Assembly Chairman requested that there must be more thorough and synchronous preparation, especially in the current conditions when the application of information technology is bringing certain advantages and conveniences in connecting data, ensuring smoothness.
The National Election Council has voted to approve a draft resolution providing guidance on candidate application forms, ballots and other types of documents used in the election process, aiming to create legal consistency nationwide and ensure that all election processes are carried out on the basis of standardized forms. “The core and strong innovation are still the priority, creating maximum convenience for candidates, election agencies and voters, avoiding errors and complaints,” said the National Assembly Chairman.

The National Assembly Chairman suggested that the Ministry of Home Affairs should promptly deploy this so that localities can clearly understand and calculate appropriate constituencies in the context of the end of district-level activities.
The National Assembly Standing Committee shall prepare an early report on the expected structure, composition, and number of National Assembly deputies, work with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and agencies to agree on the expected number and composition of the allocation of National Assembly deputies before submitting them to the National Election Council and the National Assembly Standing Committee for consideration and decision in mid-November; at the same time, develop a personnel orientation for full-time National Assembly deputies of the 16th tenure and report to the National Assembly Party Committee for consideration and comments, expected in mid-November.
The Ministry of Public Security has completed the operation of the VNeID application for candidates to facilitate the declaration and lookup of candidate profiles.
