In August, the Government Inspectorate conducted 42 inspections focusing on two topics: inspecting projects with difficulties and problems and inspecting waste prevention and control in the management and use of housing and land facilities of agencies, organizations and enterprises.
According to the Government Inspectorate, this is an outstanding result of inspection work last month.
Conducted 42 inspections
Head of the Planning and Finance Department of the Government Inspectorate, Le Quang Linh, said that in August 2025, the Government Inspectorate will continue to implement the adjusted 2025 Inspection Plan. Focusing on inspecting two topics as directed by the Central Steering Committee and the Prime Minister : Inspecting projects with difficulties and problems and inspecting waste prevention and control in the management and use of housing and land facilities managed by state agencies, organizations and enterprises.
The Government Inspectorate has conducted 42 inspections, of which 1 has been reported to the Prime Minister. 13 are preparing reports and draft inspection conclusions. 27 are conducting direct inspections, of which 25 are Inspect 2 specialized projects with difficulties and problems and specialized projects on waste prevention and control.
Regarding the work of supervision, appraisal, urging, and post-inspection handling, the departments, divisions, and units are supervising the activities of 27 inspection teams. The appraisal reports of 4 draft inspection conclusions have been completed and 4 draft inspection conclusions are being appraised...
In addition, the Department of Inspection for Complaints and Denunciations in the Agriculture and Environment Sector (Department VII) has chaired the consultation and reporting to the Prime Minister on the progress of thematic inspections of difficult and stuck projects.
The Department of Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity (Department IV) advised on the establishment of a Working Group to direct, guide, urge and synthesize the implementation of specialized inspections on waste prevention and control.
Regarding the work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations, in August 2025, the Central Citizen Reception Office in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City received 423 visits with 927 citizens presenting 423 cases; 33 large groups came to present 33 cases. Most of the cases were related to land acquisition that had been reviewed and resolved by all levels, but citizens did not agree and continued to complain; 1,150 petitions/1,866 to be processed were classified and processed.
Regarding the urging of handling, resolving and reporting the remaining cases of the 226 cases of prolonged complaints and denunciations that have gone beyond the central level in Hanoi, Department I will preside over and coordinate with Departments II, III and the Central Citizen Reception Committee to urge localities to report the results of handling and resolving the remaining cases of the 226 cases after the Government Inspectorate ends the "90-day and night campaign"; periodically report to the Central Inspection Committee and the Central Internal Affairs Committee as required.
Departments, offices and units under the Government Inspectorate continue to implement the Resolution of the National Assembly, the Government and the direction of the Prime Minister on resolving complicated, pending and prolonged complaints and combating and handling subjects that take advantage of complaints to violate the law.
Focus on completing inspections of projects with difficulties and problems in September
Regarding the key tasks in September 2025, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong requested the departments assigned to preside over the inspection: Continue to implement the 2025 Inspection Plan and assigned surprise inspections.
In particular, focusing on speeding up the issuance of inspection conclusions, especially inspections assigned by the Central Steering Committee and the Prime Minister; enhancing publicity and transparency, improving discipline, administrative discipline, and public ethics in inspection activities.
The Government Inspector General requested Department VII to urgently advise on the issuance of inspection conclusions and report to the Prime Minister . Departments, divisions, and units focused on drafting conclusions of 13 inspections; continued to effectively implement 27 direct inspections.
The Inspector General also reminded the departments, divisions, and units of the timeline for conducting inspections of projects with difficulties and problems. Accordingly, in September, they must focus on completing the inspections. Emphasizing that this is an unchangeable task, the Deputy Inspectors General directed the departments, divisions, and units to work day and night to complete it and report to the General Secretary and Prime Minister.
The Inspector General requested Department IV and Department VII to preside over, guide, and summarize the progress and results of the inspection of the two topics. Department XIII continued to supervise 29 inspection teams and appraise the draft inspection conclusions assigned.
The Department of Monitoring, Urging and Handling After Inspection (XIV) presides over advising on the implementation of the Prime Minister's direction at the national conference on the preliminary review and assessment of the implementation of removing difficulties and obstacles for projects and land according to Conclusion No. 77/Kl-TW of the Politburo, Resolution No. 170/2024/QH15 and Notice No. 384/TB-VPCP dated July 25, 2025 of the Government Office; continues to urge and inspect the implementation of inspection conclusions and develop inspection results reports, especially the conclusions monitored and urged by the Steering Committee.
The Inspector General requested that departments and units strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to continue to speed up the inspection progress of cases under the supervision of the Steering Committee in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 188/NQ-CP dated October 11, 2024.
