A freight train caught fire on the tracks in Nam Dinh.

Initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. this afternoon (April 6), the freight train numbered VNR D13E-722 was moving through Trinh Xuyen station (Lien Bao commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province) in the direction of Nam Dinh city when it suddenly caught fire.

The fire started in the driver's compartment. Upon discovering the fire, the train driver quickly stopped the journey in an emergency. At the same time, he coordinated with the railway staff to quickly cut the driver's compartment from the train and notify the station to arrange for another train to connect...

Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene.

Upon receiving the news, Vu Ban District Police dispatched two fire trucks and many officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. About 50 minutes later, the fire fighting force controlled the fire.

The entire cargo hold was burned down.

At the scene, the entire inside of the train's cabin was burned down. Authorities are investigating the scene and moving the burned locomotive away from the track.
