Dynamic road for development of many communes bordering Ho Chi Minh City
Currently, this is still an important route parallel to Highway 1 between Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh , chosen by vehicles to travel between Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City to avoid Highway 1 whenever the traffic situation on this main route is tense.
The project is 9km long. The starting point intersects with Nguyen Huu Tho Street in the center of Ben Luc Commune, Tay Ninh, to the border of the two localities, connecting to Nguyen Huu Tri Street in Tan Nhut Commune, Ho Chi Minh City.

With a total investment of more than 1,850 billion VND, the road is designed with a 20m wide road surface, 30m wide roadbed, including 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles, with a total investment of 1,850 billion VND from the provincial budget.
This project will be an important step in completing the traffic system connecting Tay Ninh with Ho Chi Minh City according to the plan, linking with other important roads such as National Highway 1, Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway, DT.830C and the boulevards that are being and will be formed such as Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4.
This is also an important route for Tay Ninh to calculate the development of economic driving axes along Ring Road 3 and Ring Road 4, linking the development of urban and industrial spaces with Ho Chi Minh City, synchronously upgrading to attract and develop more large-scale urban projects and green urban areas near Ho Chi Minh City.

In fact, on DT.830C, since April 19, the province has started the Eco Retreat ecological urban area project with an area of 220 hectares, by the founder of Ecopark with a total investment of nearly 17,000 billion VND. After 6 months of implementation, the landscape and infrastructure of the project are gradually taking shape and developing strongly, becoming a new highlight of the region.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut - Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee - said that DT.830C was formerly Huong Lo 8, which was used with a scale of 2 lanes, but is now degraded, often flooded, damaged, does not meet development needs, causing traffic congestion and unsafe traffic.
With its important nature, especially the route connecting with important traffic axes connecting with industrial parks, clusters, concentrated production areas, reducing the load on existing national highways, shortening transportation time and creating momentum for development with Ben Luc, My Yen, and Luong Hoa communes of the province.
"Therefore, the province has prioritized calculating capital sources to implement this project early in the 2020-2025 term, to welcome the 1st Provincial Party Congress, 2025-2026 term. I request the investor to closely monitor, quickly implement construction, ensure quality, and shorten the construction time from 730 days to 400 days. Because the sooner the road is built, the sooner the development of the area will be promoted," said Mr. Ut.
Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 3 through Tay Ninh will open to traffic soon
Regarding roads, Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh have 37 connection points. This includes 21 connection points on existing routes, 9 routes under investment in connection at 11 locations, and 5 planned connection points that have not yet been invested in.
In addition to DT.830C, the existing connecting route that has just been expanded, the Ho Chi Minh City Beltway 3 project through Tay Ninh, which is nearing completion, will create two more connection points between the two localities.
DT.830C goes into the central urban area of Ben Luc, where the large urban, industrial, commercial and service areas of Tay Ninh province are concentrated, connecting National Highway 1 and DT.830C and in the future will connect with Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 4 in this area - Photo: SON LAM
With a total investment of 3,040 billion VND, the Ring Road 3 project is under construction in phase 1 with 4 expressway lanes and parallel roads on both sides with 2-3 lanes.
The investor, Long An Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that the project is currently under construction with 3 main packages ensuring the proposed progress, reaching about 82% of the construction value of the contract. The construction units are striving to complete the expressway section in October 2025, shortening the completion time by 1-3 months.

Currently, the first section of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 connecting with Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway has been put into use. The road from National Highway 1 through Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 to Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway is the preferred choice for vehicles traveling from the southern area of Ho Chi Minh City through Tay Ninh, to the West.
With the two belt routes 3 of Ho Chi Minh City when completed and DT.830C after being upgraded, a long border between Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City on the main connecting axis of the two regions of the East - Southwest will quickly be "erased", creating a large development area, blending the development space, urban and social synchronization between the two localities.
