Visit Dan Pagoda to commemorate the author of the Proclamation on the Transfer of the Capital
Lê Vân•01/07/2024Dan Pagoda, also known as Ung Tam Tu, is one of the ancient and famous pagodas in Bac Ninh province. This place is known for its many unique historical, cultural and spiritual values. According to legend, Dan Pagoda was built during the Ly Dynasty and is associated with many historical anecdotes. Legend has it that Ly Cong Uan, the founder of the Ly Dynasty, was born in this very pagoda. The pagoda was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic in 1984. This place is not only a spiritual destination attracting tourists from all over the world but also an important historical and cultural research site of Bac Ninh province.
