Accordingly, the subjects of the fee are tourists who travel by inland waterways on sea areas and islands within the boundaries of Nha Trang Bay (outside the strictly protected zone).
The fee (not including accident insurance) will be calculated according to the tour route. Specifically, the fee for the Hon Mieu Island (Tri Nguyen) route is 6,000 VND.
The routes to 2 Hon Tam islands; 3 Hon Tre islands (Vinpearl); 4 Hon Mot islands have a common fee of 8,000 VND.
The 5-island route to Hon Mun (strictly protected area) is 10,000 VND. If visitors choose to combine the routes, the fee will be 40,000 VND/trip.
Inland waterway vehicles visiting Nha Trang Bay will have new fees.
The Resolution also stipulates that the fee collection agency is allowed to retain 80% of the total fee amount collected to serve the management work of the unit, and pay the remaining 20% of the fee amount to the state budget.
The fee collection agency is Nha Trang Bay Management Board under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province.
According to Mr. Dam Hai Van, Head of Nha Trang Bay Management Board, having specific regulations when visiting Nha Trang Bay will solve many problems. This is a sustainable source of finance for marine conservation, environmental protection and management.
The new regulations also exempt or reduce fees for many subjects, such as: children under 6 years old, people with disabilities, officials sent on business trips to Nha Trang Bay, tour guides working at tourist attractions on islands in Nha Trang Bay, people with meritorious services to the revolution, veteran revolutionary officials, people over 60 years old...
Many other subjects also receive a 50% reduction in fees, including: children from 6 to under 16 years old; students of universities, colleges, intermediate schools, high schools, middle schools, and primary schools whose schools organize tours and study tours; poor households...
