Solidarity and friendship between the Lao and Vietnamese delegations at the United Nations

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), on August 30, the Lao Permanent Mission to the United Nations led by Ambassador Anouparb Vongnorkeo visited the headquarters of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the United Nations (New York) to congratulate.

According to a VNA correspondent in New York, Ambassador Anouparb Vongnorkeo sent his best wishes to the Party, State, Government and people of Vietnam, and highly appreciated the close and trustworthy coordination between the two delegations in recent times, expressing his hope that the two sides will continue to cooperate more closely and effectively in the coming time.

At the reception, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang - Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations - sincerely thanked Ambassador Anouparb Vongnorkeo and Lao friends for their warm feelings towards the Vietnamese Delegation; congratulated Laos on its good performance as Chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and affirmed that he will continue to support and assist the Lao Delegation in successfully assuming the position of Chair of the ASEAN Committee in New York.

In the friendly atmosphere, full of comradely affection, the two Ambassadors agreed to continue promoting the tradition and good cooperation results between the two Delegations in New York, contributing to promoting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
