Thanh Hoa has a score of 10 in the 2024 high school exam, ranked 2nd in the country.

On the morning of July 17, Mr. Tran Van Thuc, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, said that he had received information about the results of the high school graduation exam, in which Thanh Hoa was the locality with the second highest score of 10 in the country, only behind Hanoi.

Accordingly, in the 2024 high school graduation exam, Thanh Hoa province had 847 scores of 10, ranking after Hanoi (863 scores of 10). Ranked 3rd in the top 10 is Bac Ninh with 445 scores of 10. The following localities include: Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Binh Duong , Ha Tinh, Thai Nguyen.

This is the second year Thanh Hoa has ranked second in terms of 10 points compared to the whole country. In the 2023 high school graduation exam, Thanh Hoa had 935 10 points (88 10 points higher than this year).

According to Mr. Thuc, because he just received the information, he did not know if the province had any valedictorians until noon of the same day.

According to statistics, the average exam score of Thanh Hoa province is 6.82, ranking 18th out of 63 provinces and cities. With this score, Thanh Hoa province increased 3 places compared to last year (in 2023, it ranked 21st out of 63 provinces and cities with an average score of 6.47).

It is known that in the 2024 high school graduation exam, Thanh Hoa province has about 39,000 candidates registered for the exam; there are nearly 1,500 independent candidates. Candidates registered for the Natural Science exam are 9,508; Social Science exam is 28,174.

Compared to 2023, Thanh Hoa has increased 3 exam sites, increased 2,289 registered candidates, and increased 99 exam rooms. To ensure the exam takes place safely, Thanh Hoa province mobilized about 7,000 people. Including exam site heads, deputy exam site heads, exam site secretaries, exam invigilators, supervisors, police and military forces, medical staff, security guards, and exam service forces.

In the 2023 High School Exam, Thanh Hoa also had a candidate who achieved national valedictorian status in the B00 group (Math, Chemistry, Biology), Mai Duy Anh Quan, a student at Nong Cong 2 High School (Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa province) with a total score of 29.8 (9.8 points in Math, Chemistry and Biology with a score of 10).
