Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung has just reported to National Assembly Deputies on a number of issues related to the group of questions at the 7th session. Developing night tourism products is one of the many issues reported by the Minister.
Accordingly, the Minister reviewed a number of night tourism products that have been put into service, creating impressions and attracting domestic and foreign tourists such as: Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam night tour "Quintessence of Confucianism", "Hanoi Night - Touching Point of Emotions", live art program "Quintessence of the North" (Hanoi); "Ha Long Night Cruise Street" (Quang Ninh); Hoa Lu Ancient Town night tour (Ninh Binh), "District 1 - Colors of the Night" (Ho Chi Minh City)...
Along with that are many cultural and artistic activities, street music performances, sketching, calligraphy, zumba, modern dance... and booths displaying and introducing OCOP products, street food... becoming a meeting place for domestic and foreign tourists.
However, in the process of developing night tourism products, there is still a lack of incentive policies and investment incentives for development. Night tourism products are still monotonous, mainly taking place in the form of walking streets, shopping areas, night food courts, night markets, and some art and entertainment activities on and off the streets.
In addition, planning separate spaces for night tourism and awareness of night tourism development are still limited; localities do not have separate strategies or plans for night economic development; there are no more specific mechanisms for shopping, culinary, and entertainment activities at night.
In the coming time, the Ministry will coordinate with provinces and cities to pilot night tourism product models in 12 localities that are key tourism development areas. The focus will be on developing plans for night tourism product development.
The competent authority will determine specific areas and locations to orient the development of concentrated night tourism product models; build development models and types of night tourism products to ensure maximum exploitation of potential and advantages...
The Ministry and localities will study and promulgate mechanisms and policies for developing night tourism products by reviewing and proposing adjustments and supplements to regulations on ensuring safety, security and order, service provision time, policies for night workers; and organizing security and order teams to support and ensure safety for tourists.
Regarding the organization and management of night tourism activities, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to develop night tourism product models in the form of: walking streets, night markets, flexible night tourism spaces, separate night entertainment complexes, etc.
The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism also mentioned the orientation of training tourism human resources and attracting investment resources to develop infrastructure.
In market orientation and promotion organization, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized the implementation of promotion and advertising of night tourism products aimed at groups staying for a long time, with high spending ability, and using high-quality products.
Applying information technology, building, upgrading, and developing software systems for managing and reporting incidents and hotspots on smart mobile devices; enhancing promotion of night tourism products... are also solutions proposed in the coming time.
