Night services for tourists can be understood as tourism services and related services legally provided from 6 pm the previous night to 6 am the next morning. For many countries, night tourism is a way to help economic growth, create a mark, brand, and unique identity for the destination.
In Vietnam, in recent years, many localities and businesses have begun to implement night activities and services, typically the night market model, walking streets in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat... In particular, some specialized night tour products exploit and position local tourism brands, such as: Hoa Lo night tour, Phong Nha cave exploration tour at night, night live shows such as Tinh Hoa Bac Bo, Hoi An Memories...

According to experts, creating momentum for the development of night tourism products and services is considered a direction in line with international trends, helping to diversify tourism products, extend length of stay, increase tourists' spending ability, and increase revenue from the tourism industry and related industries.
To promote the development of the night-time economy, in recent times, Quang Ninh has taken specific steps, such as: Approving the pilot project of the night-time economic development model in the province, period 2023-2025 and establishing a Steering Committee to implement this project in October 2023. In particular, in early 2024, in the meeting to accelerate the implementation of this project, Provincial leaders requested: It is necessary to immediately identify pilot models at night to serve tourists, especially foreign tourists, to increase length of stay and promote tourists' spending.
Accordingly, a series of walking streets, services, and night economic activities were launched. Many localities such as Van Don, Co To, Mong Cai, Tien Yen... also formed walking streets, services, and night economic activities to serve tourists. This led to a series of service activities being established, such as: Art performances, night entertainment, sports, cuisine, sightseeing... In particular, there are many unique products, great appeal, and long-lasting vitality.
Now coming to Quang Ninh, tourists cannot miss the diverse experiences and night tourism products throughout the province, such as: Bai Chay walking street, food street at Sun Carnival square, Mong Cai night market, Tien Yen walking street...

At the tourist center of Ha Long City, visitors have many interesting experiences when the sunset gradually falls in the distance. Tourists have the opportunity to participate in many Ha Long night art programs as the stage of many impressive "shows".

It can be seen that the spending needs of tourists at night account for a large part of the total spending in the entire journey. However, currently, the group of cultural and artistic services that are the points to retain and bring tourists back has not been well exploited. Many night economic models, walking streets, night activities and services... are not yet attractive, do not attract tourists from inside and outside the province, "bloom early, fade at night"... causing waste.
Therefore, in the long term, in addition to localities that have done well, it is necessary to pay attention to how to organize and promote strengths to maintain the sustainable vitality of night tourism and service activities in other localities. Along with that, it is necessary to develop a variety of night tour and service groups such as: shopping, entertainment, sports, health care...; promote night tourism services and products that are strong and specific to each place, creating connections and mutual support.
