On September 17 and 18, the Department of Education and Training organized a contest to establish teams to compete in the national competition to select excellent high school students for the 2025-2026 school year.

The exam was held at two locations: Luong Van Chanh Specialized High School (Tuy Hoa Ward) and Buon Ma Thuot High School (Buon Ma Thuot Ward). 726 students from high schools, specialized high schools and multi-level general schools in the province participated in the exam. Students took part in 10 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Literature, English, French, and Information Technology.

Through this exam, the Department of Education and Training selected 200 best students into 10 teams to train and prepare for the National High School Excellent Student Exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

It is known that at the National High School Student Selection Exam for the 2024-2025 school year, Dak Lak students won 122 prizes, including 3 first prizes, 17 second prizes, 40 third prizes and 62 consolation prizes; 4 students were selected for the selection round of national teams to compete in regional and international Olympics in 2025, including 1 student for the national team to participate in the Asia- Pacific Informatics Olympiad.
