A candidate with a broken right arm went to the exam location to complete procedures on the morning of June 5.
At the exam site of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Van Thanh, a student of Le Loi Secondary School (District 3) tried to arrive on time to complete exam procedures despite having a broken right arm in a cast.
Sharing with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Van Thanh said he felt sad because he fell while driving a motorbike 3 weeks before the exam. "On May 13, I fell off my motorbike. I have already made all my wishes. My first wish is Marie Curie High School and my second wish is Han Thuyen High School, but now I am not very confident. I can write the math and English exams, but I need help with the literature exam," the male student said.
Van Thanh said everyone in his family encouraged him, but he was still quite worried about the literature subject (the exam will be tomorrow morning, June 6).

According to officials at the exam site, support plans for the candidate with a broken right arm will be considered in this afternoon's meeting with the exam steering committee to reach a conclusion.
On the morning of June 5, 96,325 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City registered to take the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year. Of the 96,325 candidates, 88,237 students registered for regular 10th grade and about 8,000 students registered for specialized and integrated 10th grade.
According to regulations of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the rate of students streaming after junior high school in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2023-2024 school year is 70% of junior high school graduates entering public 10th grade. This year, 108,000 students graduated from junior high school in Ho Chi Minh City, but more than 96,325 students registered for the public 10th grade entrance exam. With a target of about 77,000 students, there will be nearly 20,000 students who will not attend public high schools after the 10th grade entrance exam.
