The Political Department of Military Region 7 launched a contest to learn about the glorious 80-year history of Military Region 7 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Military Region 7's Traditional Day (December 10, 1945 - December 10, 2025).

This activity contributes to promoting the history, glorious tradition, and contributions of Military Region 7 in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland and fulfilling international obligations; encouraging and motivating officers, soldiers of the armed forces and people to promote the spirit of determination to fight and win; the will to be self-reliant and self-reliant, and to build a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" armed force of the Military Region.

Contest to learn about the glorious 80-year history of Military Region 7 for officers, soldiers, professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, workers and defense officials, reserve forces, militia and self-defense forces in the armed forces of Military Region 7;

Entries must fully answer the 7 questions given by the organizers. Contestants must handwrite or type in Vietnamese and bind the book. The 7 questions include:

On what day, month, and year was Military Region 7 established? Where? Which directive of the Party Central Committee and which resolution of the Southern Regional Party Committee decided the construction of armed forces in the Southeast and the extreme South Central regions to develop in the right direction and firmly? Commanders, Political Commissars (Deputy Commanders in charge of Politics) of Military Regions through the periods?

The formation and development process of the Military Region over the past 80 years?

What are the glorious traditional features of the armed forces of Military Region 7?

What are the famous revolutionary historical sites in Military Region 7?

What were the typical battles and campaigns of the army and people of Military Region 7 in the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism?

New policies, creative approaches, and effective models of the current armed forces of the Military Region?

Write your own and your family's feelings or memories about the soldiers of Military Region 7, the relationship between the people and the armed forces of Military Region 7 and your own responsibility in the current cause of building and defending the Fatherland (from 1,500 to 2,000 words).

Contest entries should be sent to the Ho Chi Minh City Command (285 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Hoa Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

The Organizing Committee does not accept photocopied works or works written by multiple people. The competition period at all levels ends before September 30, 2025.

Regarding the awards, the organizing committee of the contest to learn about the glorious 80-year history of Military Region 7 awarded collective and individual awards.

Based on the achievements of the groups, the organizing committee will propose to award certificates of merit and bonuses.

There are 30 individual prizes including: 20 prizes for officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Military Region 7 (the highest prize is 7 million VND) and 10 prizes for individuals not belonging to the armed forces of Military Region 7 (the first prize is worth 7 million VND).
