In an interview with a reporter from Vietnam News Agency in Tel Aviv on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam News Agency's traditional day (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2025), Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Ly Duc Trung highly appreciated the key role of Vietnam News Agency in foreign information work and promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the world .
Ambassador Ly Duc Trung affirmed: "During the 80-year journey of formation and development, Vietnam News Agency has always maintained its role as the country's main news agency, an official, reliable, timely and comprehensive information source serving the revolutionary cause of the Party, State and People. In particular, in foreign information work, Vietnam News Agency has played a core role in promoting the image of Vietnam to the world in a truthful, vivid and in-depth way."
With a network of 30 permanent offices abroad, Vietnam News Agency has reflected the local and regional situation objectively and promptly, as well as helped international friends better understand the Party and State's foreign policies and guidelines, socio -economic development strategies and plans, and Vietnam's achievements.
According to Ambassador Ly Duc Trung, the information, carried out by the Vietnam News Agency's permanent office in Tel Aviv, has objectively and promptly reflected the Middle East region in general and Israel in particular.
The information from the Vietnam News Agency's Tel Aviv office contributes to strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Israel, after the two countries established diplomatic relations on July 12, 1993 and opened the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel at the end of 2009.
Ambassador Ly Duc Trung emphasized that in the context of many complicated developments in the region, information work has become more important and sensitive. The fact that the Vietnam News Agency's permanent offices abroad in general and the Vietnam News Agency's permanent office in Tel Aviv in particular have maintained acumen, accuracy and objectivity in reporting news not only helps people in the country have a correct view of the regional situation, but also demonstrates the mettle and responsibility of the Vietnamese revolutionary press on the foreign front.
In addition, Vietnam News Agency reporters have also demonstrated a sense of responsibility and professional courage even in difficult and dangerous circumstances, such as during the period of tension between Israel and Iran, Vietnam News Agency reporters continuously went to the scene, closely followed the situation, promptly and accurately reflected on the developments on the ground, and at the same time paid attention to reporting on the lives, thoughts, aspirations and solidarity of the Vietnamese community in different areas.
Ambassador Ly Duc Trung also appreciated the close, effective and professional coordination of the reporters with the Embassy's staff to convey accurate and prompt information about community activities, as well as in citizen protection work when necessary./.
