Opening of 540 billion VND bridge connecting Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen and Vinh Phuc

On October 1, information from the Thai Nguyen Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that, up to now, construction units have basically completed the construction of the regional road surface paving project connecting Bac Giang , Thai Nguyen and Vinh Phuc, the section connecting through Hoa Son bridge.

Thanks to that, cars, small trucks and rudimentary vehicles can now travel across the bridge, connecting Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province with Pho Yen city, Thai Nguyen province.

Hoa Son Bridge on the road connecting Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen and Vinh Phuc has basically opened to traffic after nearly 1 year of completion.

Because the road leading to the bridge, the section passing through Thai Nguyen province, has not yet completed the road surface construction, relevant units still erect obstacles, not allowing heavy trucks to pass through the bridge.

The opening of Hoa Son Bridge helps shorten the route and travel time from Bac Giang to Thai Nguyen; enhancing trade connections between localities.

Previously, as reported by Giao Thong Newspaper, since the beginning of this year, the project to build Hoa Son bridge across Cau river and the road leading to the bridge, connecting Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang) with Pho Yen city (Thai Nguyen) with a total cost of over 540 billion VND, part of phase I of the connecting road project, connecting the provinces of Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc has been completed.

According to the design, the bridge is more than 430m long and 12m wide. The approach road to the bridge is made according to the standards of a grade III plain road with a total length of more than 10km, a road surface of 11m wide, and a base of 12m wide. The project was implemented from 2021, with the starting point intersecting the left dike of Cau River in Hoa Son commune, Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang and the end point intersecting the right dike of Cau River (Cha dike) in Dong Cao ward, Pho Yen city, Thai Nguyen province.

However, because the road section through Thai Nguyen province has not been completed, the authorities have been erecting obstacles and blocking the road to ensure traffic safety. Until now, the obstacles have been removed for vehicles to pass through the bridge.
