Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho and the working delegation inspected the construction process at the intersection between the main North-South expressway and National Highway 8 in Thanh Binh Thinh commune, Duc Tho district. This is also the connection point between the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway section of the North-South expressway project in the 2017 - 2020 period and the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway section in the 2021 - 2025 period through Ha Tinh province.

Next, the working delegation of the Ministry of Transport inspected the intersection of the main highway with Provincial Road 548 through Trung Loc commune (Can Loc), the construction progress of the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang highway section in Tan Lam Huong commune (Thach Ha) and two intersections between the road connecting with the main highway section through Cam Quan commune (Cam Xuyen) and Ky Dong commune (Ky Anh).

The North-South Eastern Expressway Project, phase 2021-2025, through Ha Tinh province, has a length of 102.38 km, including 3 sections: Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang and Vung Ang - Bung. In addition, there are 3 expressway connecting routes with a length of 12.18 km, namely Ngo Quyen - DT.550, the expressway parallel road connecting DT.550 - Ham Nghi extension and Cam Quan - National Highway 1.
According to the report of the Ha Tinh Department of Transport, up to now, the province has completed the counting; implemented the pricing, approved the compensation plan reaching 99.07% and handed over the site reaching 98.04%, disbursed the land acquisition capital reaching 2,127/2,853.43 billion VND (reaching 74.54%).
Deputy Minister of Transport and working delegation inspected the construction progress of the main expressway intersection with Provincial Road 548 through Trung Loc commune, Can Loc district.
The province has also deployed the construction of 26 resettlement areas and 4 cemeteries. Currently, 6 resettlement areas and 2 cemeteries have reached 100% completion, the remaining 20-97%. The relocation of power lines, telecommunications systems and other technical works is underway.
Ha Tinh also coordinated with investors and contractors to resolve problems in site clearance and reforestation of mine areas. Up to now, among the 11 mine areas approved by the province, some mineral mines have been exploited. Thanks to that, the difficulty in sourcing construction materials for the expressway construction in Ha Tinh has been basically resolved.
Taking advantage of favorable weather, contractors are focusing on construction of the North-South expressway project.
At the meeting, representatives of the Thang Long Project Management Board and contractors of the two expressway component projects Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang informed that the project construction process in Ha Tinh province currently does not encounter any complicated problems related to the site and construction material sources. The investor and contractor are coordinating with the province to continue to resolve some problems related to the relocation of power line infrastructure, pig farms, and land compensation in the mineral exploitation area.

According to Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho, site clearance and construction material sources are two very important factors in ensuring the progress of the expressway. During the construction process, the localities where the project passes through all encountered difficulties in site clearance and construction materials, but Ha Tinh has been very active and made efforts to remove obstacles, creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented smoothly.
The Deputy Minister of Transport requested the province to continue to resolve the remaining problems related to site clearance and construction materials; speed up the construction progress of resettlement areas. Regarding difficulties and problems related to central ministries and branches, the province needs to gather them so that the delegation can report to each unit in coordination to resolve them.
Regarding the province's proposal to expand local roads connecting to the main expressway, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho assigned the investor (Thang Long Project Management Board, Project Management Board 6) to work and reach an agreement with the province in the spirit of facilitating the local socio -economic development after the expressway project is completed.
On the basis of the site and construction material sources having been resolved, the Deputy Minister of Transport also requested the investor to direct the contractor to increase human resources and machinery, take advantage of the favorable weather to work day and night, ensuring the project's progress.
