On the morning of June 13, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and worked with the Vietnam Journalists Association .
Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Minister of Information and Communications; comrade Pham Thi Thanh Tra, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Home Affairs ; comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association; comrade Le Ngoc Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam Television; leaders of a number of central and local departments, ministries and branches.

At the working session, reporting on the results and key tasks of the Journalists Association, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized that, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, over the past 73 years, since its establishment in the Viet Bac resistance base during the resistance war against the French colonialists (April 21, 1950), the Vietnam Journalists Association, together with journalists across the country, has always been united, proactively creative, strived to overcome difficulties, constantly grown, always accompanied and attached to the revolutionary cause of the Party, country and people, making an important contribution to the victory of the struggle for national liberation, national reunification, building and firmly defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

In all circumstances, the association's leaders, members and journalists always stick to reality, actively propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; encourage and support the entire Party, people and army in the struggles for national independence and freedom and to implement the renovation policy initiated and led by our Party; actively participate in the work of building a clean and strong Party and political system, fighting against corruption and negativity; refute the distorted views and arguments of hostile forces and disgruntled opportunists, protect the Party's ideological foundation; consolidate and strengthen the great national unity bloc.
In the coming time, to continue promoting the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Vietnamese revolutionary press, comrade Le Quoc Minh suggested that Journalists Associations at all levels continue to closely follow the development goals according to the orientation determined by the 13th National Party Congress: "Building a professional, humane and modern press and media".
Members of the Vietnam Journalists Association are deeply aware of the responsibility of journalists, strive to study, cultivate, practice, constantly improve political capacity, professional qualifications, uphold professional ethics, dedication, strengthen solidarity, strive to contribute to building a Vietnamese revolutionary press that is combative, humane, professional and modern, for the benefit of the country and people.

In his report at the working session, Major General Doan Xuan Bo, member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Party, the Government, and the Prime Minister to the press work and journalists. The attention of the Party, the Government, and the Prime Minister has helped journalists have more responsibility and positive energy to complete their work well. Major General Doan Xuan Bo shared that the more difficult the time is, the more chaotic the information is, the more it is necessary to strengthen the guidance information of the mainstream press. In the context of many challenges, the revolutionary leadership and leadership of the press and media of the Party and the Government have been clearly demonstrated.
Expressing concerns about how to make official information stable and the mainstream in social life, Major General Doan Xuan Bo said that the Government needs to implement more strongly and decisively in press planning; pay attention to and invest in official press, especially key press agencies; create a legal corridor to improve the position of journalists, and create conditions for the press to access information more easily. For journalists, it is necessary to clearly see their responsibility to the Party, the State, and the people, and to have professional pride.
At the working program, the Prime Minister listened to representatives of leaders of a number of ministries, branches and press agencies present and share their efforts as well as the difficulties that still exist in press activities.
