To create a breakthrough for economic and trade cooperation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Turkish Ministry of Commerce and the Minister himself to continue to coordinate with ministries and branches of the two countries to promote a number of specific measures such as studying the early launch of negotiations on the Vietnam - Turkey Free Trade Agreement (FTA) at an appropriate time, soon organizing the 8th Meeting of the Vietnam - Turkey Intergovernmental Committee in Ankara in 2024, strengthening the organization of trade and investment promotion activities between businesses and localities of the two countries, opening markets, creating conditions for each country's strong export products to penetrate each other's markets, and removing anti-dumping measures on goods and services of partners.

The Minister affirmed that Vietnam is Türkiye's top priority economic partner in the Asia-Pacific region. Minister Omer Bolat said that after initial successful investment projects, more and more Turkish corporations and businesses are interested in the Vietnamese market, especially in Turkey's strong fields of construction, industrial production, consumer goods, etc. He also announced plans to organize a Turkish business delegation to Vietnam in 2024.
