Typically, from July 27 to 29, 2024, the Farmers' Association of Thua Thien Hue province also organized the first highland market in Hue City (Thua Thien Hue). The market aims to help farmer members who are ethnic minorities connect to consume typical agricultural products, handicrafts, local specialties, and OCOP products.
The market is arranged with reasonable booths, convenient for people to visit, buy and sell OCOP products, agricultural products, handicrafts, cuisine, and introduce traditional occupations of local ethnic minorities in the province.
In the past, the local people's markets were often spontaneous, with people gathering in large areas to exchange goods and exchange; now, the local authorities and related units organize the markets systematically, with large scale in terms of space and location, convenient for people to sell goods, and many places have become attractive destinations for tourists when coming to the highland areas.
