Thuy Linh ( world rank 23) and Hai Dang (world rank 58) are the two Vietnamese tennis players with the highest world rankings in their respective categories, and they are also the leading candidates for the championship at the tournament.

In the women's singles final, Thuy Linh faced many difficulties against Tran Thi Phuong Thuy ( Bac Ninh ), but thanks to her courage to speak up at the right time in decisive moments, she won 2-0 with a close score of 22-20 and 22-20.

This result helped Thuy Linh bring home the gold medal for the host Dong Nai . This is also the third consecutive year Thuy Linh won the gold medal in the women's singles event at the tournament.

Meanwhile, in the men's singles final, Nguyen Hai Dang (HCMC) successfully defended his championship title when he defeated Le Duc Phat (Army) with a score of 2-0 (21-18, 21-13).

A year ago, Hai Dang defeated Duc Phat in the men's singles final of the tournament and this time he continued to do the same.

In other events, Nguyen Dinh Hoang/Tran Dinh Manh (Lam Dong) won the men's doubles championship, the women's doubles gold medal went to Bui Bich Phuong/Vu Thi Chinh (Hanoi), while the mixed doubles gold medal went to Pham Van Hai/Than Van Anh (Bac Ninh).

The 2025 National Individual Badminton Championship brings together more than 150 players from 17 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide.

Players compete in 5 events: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
