Finding solutions for sustainable development in the fields of biology and agriculture

DNO - On August 21, the University of Education (University of Danang) hosted the 2nd International Conference on Biology - Agriculture (CBA 2025) with the participation of more than 300 delegates from more than 30 universities, research institutes, management agencies and high-tech enterprises, including more than 40 international delegates from 5 Asian countries.

This year's conference has the theme "Sustainable development in the context of digital transformation", co-organized by 11 domestic and foreign universities and research units.

This is a prestigious scientific forum for researchers, lecturers, students and businesses to exchange and share the latest research results in the fields of biology and agriculture . At the same time, it is an opportunity for all parties to demonstrate their shared responsibility in developing smart agriculture and exploiting natural resources reasonably and sustainably.

Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Vo Van Minh, Rector of the University of Education, said that this year's conference focuses on the main research directions of genetics and molecular biology; bioinformatics and genomics in agriculture; plant science, medicinal biotechnology and smart farming systems; environmental biotechnology and circular agriculture...

These are urgent scientific issues and also of practical concern to countries in the region and around the world .

At the plenary session of the workshop, there were 4 main reports including: Nature conservation and environmental monitoring for ecosystem health in the context of digital transformation towards sustainable development; Pioneering research in the field of cell, tissue and plant organ culture; Closed value chain of shrimp industry - the foundation for sustainable development; Biotechnology and digital transformation in aquaculture - livestock farming in Vietnam: Current status, challenges and development orientation.

In addition, the conference also has 4 specialized subcommittees attracting the attention of the scientific community with 20 reports presented directly at the subcommittees.

Within the framework of the workshop, units and enterprises participated in the science and technology exhibition, displaying new products and solutions. This shows the close cooperation between schools and enterprises, being an effective bridge to bring research results from the laboratory to production and life practices.
