An Giang Provincial Youth Union awarded prizes to 2 contests

On the morning of June 18, An Giang Provincial Youth Union held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the 1st English Olympic Contest for young cadres of An Giang province in 2025, and the Video and Clip Contest to promote models of environmental protection and plastic waste prevention on Facebook.

Head of the Movement Committee of An Giang Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Phuong Thu reported the results of the contest.

The video and clip contest promoting models of environmental protection and plastic waste prevention on Facebook was held from March 23 to April 13, with 61 entries. As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 10 consolation prizes; 1 secondary prize for the video and clip with the most interactions and 1 secondary prize for the effective implementation model.

Awarding ceremony for video and propaganda clip contest

The English Olympic competition was held for 3 weeks, starting from April 7 to 27, with the participation of 6,284 candidates. Candidates answered questions online, including: Listening, reading, vocabulary, English communication; knowledge about Vietnamese youth organizations, important events in the country's history, key leaders of the Party and State; economic - political situation, culture, society, history of Vietnam and the world... As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 18 weekly prizes, including: 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 9 consolation prizes; 5 final prizes, including 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 2 consolation prizes for candidates with the best achievements in the competition.

The contest aims to strengthen propaganda activities, raise awareness in environmental protection, respond to climate change; promote the spirit of vanguard and volunteerism of youth union members, mobilize people to join hands to protect the environment to be airy, bright, green, clean and beautiful. The contest also contributes to creating a healthy playground, arousing the spirit of learning, practicing English and supporting the development of international integration skills for the Youth Union staff.
