General Director of Vietnam Social Security presented 200 health insurance cards to the poor in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of January 23, a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen The Manh, General Director of Vietnam Social Security, visited and presented gifts to patients in difficult circumstances being treated at Military Hospital 175. Major General, Dr. Tran Quoc Viet, Director of Military Hospital 175, received the working delegation.

At Military Hospital 175, Mr. Nguyen The Manh and the delegation visited the facilities, some functional areas for medical examination and treatment, and listened to the hospital leaders briefly introduce the results of their activities in the past time. The delegation also visited, encouraged and gave gifts to 10 patients with difficult circumstances who are being treated at the Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Institute of this hospital.

On the same day, Mr. Nguyen The Manh and the delegation went to the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union to present 30 social insurance books, 200 health insurance cards and Tet gifts to people in difficult circumstances.

The General Director of Vietnam Social Security said that the donation of social insurance books and health insurance cards is an activity carried out by the Vietnam Social Security sector throughout the year, with widespread impact. In 2023, the program mobilized nearly 24,300 social insurance books and 250,000 health insurance cards to give to people in difficult circumstances nationwide.

Mr. Lo Quan Hiep, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance, presented symbolic health insurance cards to disadvantaged female members.

Since November 2023, the program has received over 8,000 social insurance books and nearly 122,000 health insurance cards worth VND 26.7 billion to give to people in difficult circumstances across the country. This activity contributes to helping people in difficult circumstances ease the burden in life, especially when they seek medical treatment.
