Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son received leaders of the Asian Development Bank (ADB)

On the afternoon of February 20, at Petrovietnam headquarters, Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son had a meeting and worked with Mr. Shantanu Chakraborty - Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Vietnam.

Also attending the meeting were representatives of Petrovietnam departments/offices and ADB experts.

Overview of the working session.

At the beginning of the working session, the ADB representative in Vietnam thanked Petrovietnam for its continuous cooperation and support for ADB's operations.

Through the meeting, ADB hopes to update on the development situation and key activities of Petrovietnam, and inform about the progress of ADB's support for the energy transition, strategy and development roadmap of Petrovietnam.

Mr. Le Ngoc Son - General Director of Petrovietnam and Mr. Shantanu Chakraborty - ADB Country Director in Vietnam discussed at the working session.

At the meeting, Petrovietnam and ADB leaders discussed the Group's ability to support offshore wind power development, regional cooperation and connectivity, as well as unsecured corporate finance options at competitive rates, and other financing options.

Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son: Petrovietnam always aims to attract foreign investors and partners to soon bring Vietnam on par with the powers in the energy and oil and gas sector.

Speaking at the meeting, Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son said that the Group is implementing development policies in the direction of utilizing its inherent strengths for future development. In addition, Mr. Le Ngoc Son also emphasized that Petrovietnam always aims to attract foreign investors and partners to soon bring Vietnam on par with the powers in the field of energy and oil and gas.

In particular, Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son shared that with the current strategy, Petrovietnam has many development opportunities and plans related to energy projects, along with the potential to export energy such as offshore wind power.

Mr. Shantanu Chakraborty - ADB Country Director in Vietnam believes that Petrovietnam and ADB will have many new opportunities to exploit in the future.
