Can Tho City: Create the best conditions for press agencies and journalists to operate effectively

Attending the meeting were Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen and many leaders and reporters from press agencies in Can Tho City.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the tradition and development process of revolutionary journalism; affirmed that journalists always uphold revolutionary ethics and have strong political will.

Outstanding journalists received certificates of merit from the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee.

Can Tho City is currently located in the center of the Mekong Delta, has long been one of the press centers of the country, press activities are always very vibrant. In addition to local press agencies, Can Tho City currently has about 70 offices, representative offices of central press agencies and neighboring provinces, with a large team of journalists.

The team of journalists in Can Tho has been dedicated, always actively penetrating every corner of life to find and provide useful, hot, and attractive information to readers. In addition to general information about the provinces of the Mekong Delta, journalists have written many articles about Can Tho City, highlighting important achievements in the fields of economics , politics, culture, society, national defense, security, foreign affairs, etc., contributing to promoting the image of the land and people of Can Tho to domestic and international friends.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen hoped that journalists would continue to promote the 100-year tradition of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, and that each journalist would continuously study and practice, worthy of being a soldier on the ideological and cultural front.

Thereby, propagating more effectively the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, advanced models, good people and good deeds in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example, contributing to creating consensus in the whole society. Can Tho City will create the best conditions for journalists to operate and work in the area.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to collectives and reporters with outstanding achievements in professional activities, including the SGGP Newspaper Representative Office in the Mekong Delta and reporter Cao Hoang Phong.
