On June 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training officially announced the benchmark scores for grade 10 specialized and integrated programs for the 2024-2025 school year.

The HCM City Department of Education and Training said that candidates admitted to specialized 10th grade and integrated 10th grade will submit their admission application to the school from June 25 to 29. If the candidate does not submit their application, the school will remove their name from the list of admitted students.
This school year, Ho Chi Minh City has 8,233 candidates registered for specialized high schools and schools with specialized classes. The total quota for specialized classes is 1,995. For integrated grade 10, the whole city has more than 1,403 candidates registered.

It is expected that on July 10, the department will announce the benchmark scores for regular grade 10 and the list of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2024/2025 school year.
The 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City will be held from June 6 to 7 with three subjects: Math, Literature (120 minutes) and Foreign Language (90 minutes). Candidates who register for specialized and integrated classes will take an additional test within 150 minutes.
The admission score is the total score of the three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Language and priority points (if any). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate the regulations and all tests must have a score greater than 0. After the announcement of the admission results, candidates are not allowed to change their wishes.
Only students in Thanh An island commune, Can Gio district are considered for admission to grade 10.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 116,000 junior high school graduates. Meanwhile, the total quota for public high schools is more than 71,000.
