Ho Chi Minh City requests permission to set off fireworks on New Year's Eve 2025

(NLDO) - On December 5, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City sent a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requesting permission to organize fireworks displays on New Year's Eve 2025.

Accordingly, in order to serve the entertainment needs of people and tourists to welcome the new year 2025, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City proposed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense to grant permission for Ho Chi Minh City to organize fireworks displays on New Year's Eve 2025.

Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City proposed three fireworks display locations, including one high-altitude location at the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc City; two low-altitude locations at Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11 and Van Phuc Urban Area in Thu Duc City.

To welcome the new year 2025, in addition to the fireworks display, Ho Chi Minh City plans to organize a countdown program to welcome the new year 2025 on the night of December 31, 2024 at Nguyen Hue walking street, Bach Dang Wharf park and the floating logo on the Saigon River.

At the same time, organize art performances in districts 12, Tan Phu, Binh Tan, Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Nha Be, Can Gio respectively on the two nights of December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025.
