Thu Duc City announced the competition ratio for grade 6 entrance exam at 3 schools.

The Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City has just officially announced the initial number of registrations for the 6th grade entrance exam at Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School, Hoa Lu Secondary School, and Binh Tho Secondary School.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, said that as of June 2, the number of applications registered for the survey at each school is as follows:

Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School: The number of applications received is 1,025, the enrollment target is 315 students/9 classes. Hoa Lu Secondary School: The number of applications received is 1,116, the enrollment target is 385 students/11 classes. Binh Tho Secondary School: The number of applications received is 696, the enrollment target is 80 students/8 classes.

Thus, the total number of application files for the survey at the 3 schools is 2,837, compared to the total enrollment target of 980 students/28 classes.

On June 15, Thu Duc City will conduct a survey for 6th grade students at 3 schools.

From June 10 to 12: Parents receive survey participation cards as announced by the school.

June 15: Thu Duc City conducts the survey, and will announce the survey scores on June 22. From June 22 to June 23: Receive appeal requests and announce the appeal and survey results on June 27.

From 8:00 a.m. on June 28 to 5:00 p.m. on July 5: Admitted students submit their admission application. After that time, if the student does not submit their admission application, the school will remove their name from the admission list.

Competency test content : Candidates take a test on the following competencies: Language (English, Vietnamese - writing); mathematics and logical thinking; natural sciences , social sciences (history - geography); application, solving practical problems.

Format: Includes multiple choice and essay sections.

Multiple choice section: Candidates take a 20-question multiple choice test in English on understanding natural sciences, social sciences and applying and solving practical problems within 30 minutes.

Essay section: Candidates take a 60-minute test, including: English proficiency test: reading comprehension, writing. Candidates take the test in English.

Test of mathematical and logical thinking ability, reading comprehension and writing ability. Candidates take the test in Vietnamese.

The time limit for all sections of the survey is 90 minutes.
