At the World Billiards Doubles Championship, the Vietnamese team excelled in reaching the final after defeating the American team. Tran Quyet Chien and Bao Phuong Vinh created a historic milestone for Vietnamese billiards when they reached the final match of the World Doubles Championship for the first time.

In the singles match, Tran Quyet Chien competed with Raymon Groot. The Vietnamese player is ranked 2nd in the world, while his opponent is ranked 71st. The difference in class was shown in this match.

Tran Quyet Chien, born in 1984, is Vietnam's number 1 cueist and a hope in international tournaments. He has won the 3-cushion World Cup 3 times.

Meanwhile, Bao Phuong Vinh was born in 1995. He won the 2023 World Championship after defeating Tran Quyet Chien in the final.
