Presenting many meaningful gifts to members and children of the disabled broom production group in Dakrong commune

This morning, August 30, the Quang Tri Newspaper Trade Union in collaboration with the Quang Tri Newspaper Youth Union visited and presented many meaningful gifts to members and children of the group of people with disabilities who produce brooms in Dakrong commune. This is one of the activities within the PARẾQ Program (roughly translated as “Broom of Love”) organized by the Quang Tri Newspaper Trade Union.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Quang Tri Newspaper Trade Union Truong Quang Hiep presented 3 million VND in cash, the second prize from the writing contest "Workers and Trade Unions of Quang Tri" in 2024, co-organized by the Provincial Labor Federation, to the group of people with disabilities who produce brooms in Dakrong commune.

The Quang Tri Newspaper Youth Union also presented 21 gifts including uniforms, notebooks, etc. to the children of the group members before the new school year. Through the above gifts, the Labor Union and the Quang Tri Newspaper Youth Union hope to support and help the group of people with disabilities who produce brooms in Dakrong commune to have funds to maintain their broom-making activities, creating jobs and stable income for members. At the same time, it will help their children have more motivation to study better.

The PARNẾQ program was implemented by the Quang Tri Newspaper Trade Union from June 2024 with the aim of supporting people with disabilities in difficult circumstances, thereby joining hands to contribute to preserving the traditional broom making profession of the Van Kieu people in Dakrong commune.

Moved by the meaningful activities of the program, the leader of the group of people with disabilities producing brooms in Dakrong commune, Ho E Not, shared: “After 2 times of receiving support from the staff and union members of the Quang Tri Newspaper, we not only have more funds to buy raw materials but also have the motivation to work and improve our lives. In the coming time, we hope to continue to receive the attention and support of Quang Tri Newspaper so that the group's activities can be maintained for a long time.”
