The road surface is bumpy, the temporary gravel is washed away by water and scattered everywhere... is the current reality on Huynh Thuc Khang street (Bac Gia Nghia ward, Lam Dong ). After 3 months of rain, the road has become slippery, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
Previously, in early May 2025, a local subsidence of about 100m occurred in this area. Many cracks appeared on the road surface, some of which were deep, greatly affecting traffic.

At that time, the People’s Committee of Gia Nghia City (old) directed the construction unit to reinforce the road surface; and at the same time handle the drainage system. However, after digging up the road surface, the construction unit “left it there”, causing the road surface to be seriously eroded.
The delay in repairing the road has frustrated local residents. The subsidence and the rough, slippery road surface not only cause inconvenience but also pose a risk of traffic accidents, especially during rush hour or when it rains heavily.

Mr. Nguyen TT, a local resident, said: “The road surface was originally about 10 meters wide, but now it is only half wide. During rush hour, motorbikes have to accept going on the sidewalk or going on the damaged part of the road.”
Notably, the damaged road is located right at the gate of Chu Van An High School - Gia Nghia. There have been many cases of slipping and falling due to the large amount of gravel scattered on the road.

The leader of Chu Van An - Gia Nghia High School said that Huynh Thuc Khang Street is damaged and slow to be repaired, causing difficulties for students to travel and park their vehicles in the school.
Before the school year, the school requested local authorities to fix the road soon, but until now the road has not been returned to its original condition.

According to the reporter's records, currently the surface of Huynh Thuc Khang street is peeling, rainwater is eroding, forming many deep grooves right in the middle of the road.
To ensure safety, people must place temporary warnings to avoid accidents for passersby.
In particular, right at the intersection with Chu Van An Street, people gathered some materials to limit water from above. After about 3 months, this area "unexpectedly" became a garbage collection point.

Huynh Thuc Khang Street is one of the main routes connecting the center of Gia Nghia. The prolonged construction not only affects traffic but also creates an unsightly image of the city.
Ms. Tran TTT, a local resident, hopes that the government will soon take measures to thoroughly fix and repair the problem instead of just patching it up temporarily, to ensure urban safety and beauty.

According to research, in June 2025, the Department of Economic Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Gia Nghia City (old) signed a contract with NVĐ.N Company on construction and repair of the road section.
After implementing the 2-level local government, the project documents were handed over to Bac Gia Nghia ward to manage and continue the work.
However, according to the People's Committee of Bac Gia Nghia Ward, the construction unit has excavated the road surface but has not yet implemented the restoration of the crushed stone layer and asphalt concrete layer according to the approved design documents. This situation not only causes loss of urban aesthetics but also poses a potential risk of accidents, especially at night.

The leader of Bac Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee said that due to unfavorable weather, the construction unit has not yet poured asphalt concrete. While waiting for construction, the locality will direct the specialized department to coordinate with the construction unit to take measures to barricade and warn people to ensure safety for traffic.
