Implement measures to regulate and stabilize prices to achieve growth of 8% or more.

Kinhtedothi - On March 21, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1018/UBND-KT on implementing measures to manage and stabilize prices in the city in 2025.

Accordingly, to achieve a number of targets: GRDP growth rate of 8% or more, GRDP per capita for the whole year reaching 175 million VND, export turnover reaching 7%, controlling the consumer price index below 5%, the City People's Committee directs the City's departments and branches; People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to focus on implementing the following groups of tasks and solutions:

First of all, it is necessary to continue implementing the provisions of the 2023 Law on Prices, Decree No. 85/2024/ND-CP dated July 10, 2024 of the Government and related Circulars, including Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BTC and Circular No. 45/2024/TT-BTC on market price forecasting and methods of pricing goods and services priced by the State.

It is necessary to pay special attention to closely monitoring the supply and demand of market prices, especially for goods subject to price stabilization, essential goods and services at the end of the year, holidays and Tet. The authorities need to strengthen management, operation, price stabilization, inspection and supervision of price declaration and posting, and strictly handle acts of taking advantage of unreasonable price increases, while controlling smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

For goods and services whose prices are set by the State, departments and branches must proactively calculate plans and roadmaps for price adjustment, promptly adjust according to their authority or report to competent authorities. Adjustment plans must ensure inflation control and be consistent with market developments. At the same time, it is necessary to update price management scenarios, ensure supply and demand balance, avoid shortages, disruptions in supply, and sudden price increases.

The City People's Committee also requested to strengthen information and propaganda work on price stabilization measures, providing accurate information on commodity prices. At the same time, strictly handle acts of spreading false information causing public confusion and closely monitor price declaration and price posting in accordance with the law.

In addition, the departments managing the sectors and fields continue to carry out the tasks according to Decision No. 70/2024/QD-UBND dated December 12, 2024 of the City People's Committee on management of prices of goods and services. The Department of Finance will continue to closely monitor the price situation in the area, coordinate with relevant agencies to synthesize, analyze, forecast market prices and promptly report to the Ministry of Finance and the Hanoi People's Committee.
