This morning, January 20, the Propaganda Department of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee chaired and coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists Association of the province to organize a conference to summarize press work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Dai Nam; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam attended the conference.
In 2024, the direction and management of the press in the province will be strengthened, with innovations bringing about practical results and efficiency. Local press agencies will continue to innovate and improve the quality of press products to serve political tasks and meet the information and entertainment needs of the people.
In particular, it reflects clearly, honestly and promptly information on many political, economic , cultural - social, security - defense fields of the province; focuses on improving content quality, innovating presentation forms on new, modern interfaces; e-newspapers gradually become official information channels leading to electronic information pages and social networks of localities, agencies, units and socio-political organizations in the province.
Along with that, local press agencies maintain and effectively promote the column to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation; proactively and actively fight against and refute distorted viewpoints and arguments, and "peaceful evolution" plots on cyberspace by hostile forces; maintain special pages and columns on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, and typical examples in Party building work, which are of interest to many people.
Resident press agencies and resident reporters have been closely following the locality, quickly grasping information, reflecting political events, socio-economic activities, national defense and security, Party building; promoting the image of Quang Tri to readers and audiences nationwide. Thanks to that, they have increasingly contributed effectively to the province's propaganda work and participated in mobilizing social resources, contributing to the local development. At the conference, delegates' presentations proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of press and propaganda work in the province as well as key tasks and solutions in 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results achieved by press agencies and the efforts of reporters in the area.
At the same time, he emphasized the importance of events taking place in 2025 and requested local press agencies and resident reporters in the area to continue to pay attention and focus on promoting the results achieved in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the 17th Provincial Party Congress to clearly see the province's efforts to rise up. Local press agencies proactively develop plans and strategies to continue to improve operational efficiency and perform well the role of providing official information sources.
At the same time, focus on widely propagating major, key topics and activities to welcome party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; the work of arranging and organizing the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently according to the direction of the central government; support the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor so that Quang Tri can complete this goal in August 2025.
Concluding the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam requested that the press leadership, management and administration agencies continue to research and innovate the work of press leadership and management, press conference activities, and provide more complete and timely information to the press.
The provincial press agencies, resident press agencies and the team of reporters operating in the area continue to pay attention and accompany the locality with high responsibility in successfully organizing the Party Congresses at all levels; both propagating the achievements of the Provincial Party Committee in the past term and forecasting and suggesting orientations and solutions for the next term to contribute to making Quang Tri province develop more and more strongly. Focus on propagating major events and holidays of the province, contributing to spreading a lot of positive information to a large number of readers and listeners inside and outside the province.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 9 individuals; the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department awarded certificates of merit to 14 individuals with achievements in propaganda work about Quang Tri province in 2024.
