Deploying the Party's inspection, supervision and disciplinary work in 2025

On December 12, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Attending the conference were comrades: Nghiem Phu Cuong, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee ; Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

In 2024, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee focused on leading and directing the implementation of Program No. 35 on inspection and supervision by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. The inspection and supervision contents focused on the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of resolutions, directives, regulations, conclusions of the Party, laws of the State, the prevention of corruption, negativity, waste and outstanding and urgent issues of public concern. Accordingly, Party committees at all levels conducted inspections of over 9,200 Party members and 2,200 Party organizations. The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee conducted 3 inspections of Party committees and heads of Party committees. Inspection Committees at all levels conducted inspections of 147 Party members and 40 Party organizations when there were signs of violations.

In addition, the supervision work continued to be strengthened. Through inspection and supervision, the advantages, limitations, shortcomings and problems arising in the process of organizing the implementation of the resolution were correctly assessed. At the same time, the situation was correctly identified and timely and effective leadership and direction measures were taken, contributing to building and rectifying the Party and building a clean and strong political system from the province to the grassroots.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nghiem Phu Cuong, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, highly appreciated the important results that Quang Ninh province has achieved in the work of inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline. At the same time, he requested that in 2025, Party committees, Party organizations, and inspection committees at all levels in the province, especially the leaders, need to further improve their awareness and responsibility for inspection and supervision work; strengthen leadership, direction, and guidance for lower-level Party committees, Party organizations, and inspection committees to carry out inspection, supervision, and Party discipline work in accordance with regulations, effectiveness, and efficiency.

In the 2025 inspection and supervision program, it is necessary to focus on monitoring the implementation of Directive 35 of the Politburo on organizing Party congresses at all levels; summarizing Resolution 18 and deploying contents according to the general direction of the Central Committee in streamlining the organization and apparatus of the political system. Along with that, synchronously and comprehensively carry out tasks according to the Party's regulations; focus on selecting contents and fields that are prone to violations in localities and units, paying attention to reviewing and identifying to conduct inspection, supervision and handling of waste according to the direction of the General Secretary. Strengthen inspection, supervision and urging the correction of violations, shortcomings and limitations of lower-level Party committees and organizations; thoroughly carry out inspections when there are signs of violations against organizations and Party members arising during the year. Seriously, promptly and effectively implement the directions of the Politburo, Secretariat and Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

Concluding the conference, comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that in 2024, the Party's inspection, supervision and disciplinary work received special attention and achieved very important results, contributing to the results of Party building work as well as the overall socio-economic development of the province.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he requested the entire Party Committee to strengthen and improve the quality and effectiveness of the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work; resolutely and persistently fight against corruption, negativity and waste; strictly handle officials and Party members who violate the law. In particular, it is necessary to focus on directing the overcoming of shortcomings, limitations, weaknesses, violations and recommendations pointed out in the inspection and supervision conclusions. Focus on doing well the inspection and supervision work to serve Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party in the spirit of the direction in Instruction No. 08-HD/UBKTTW, dated November 18, 2024 of the Central Inspection Commission.

The Provincial Party Secretary awarded Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives with outstanding achievements.

In the context of focusing on Party congresses at all levels, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that the content of the annual inspection and supervision program at the local level must have a focus and key points; focus on inspecting and supervising Party committees, Party organizations, leaders, and key officials at all levels in areas, areas, and positions where violations, corruption, waste, and negativity are likely to arise, and are of public concern. Strengthen self-inspection and self-supervision of Party committees and Party organizations; proactively detect early to prevent, stop, and overcome shortcomings and violations of Party organizations and Party members right from the beginning, not allowing small violations to accumulate into large, prolonged, and widespread violations.

Along with that, promote propaganda about the leadership, direction and results of inspection, supervision and enforcement of party discipline by party committees, party organizations and inspection committees at all levels, especially on issues of public concern, ensure objective, accurate and timely information, refute false information to guide public opinion, create solidarity and unity within the Party and consensus, and have a positive effect in society. Pay attention to strengthening the organization and apparatus of inspection committees at all levels to ensure synchronization, unity, streamlining, effective and efficient operations, associated with building a team of inspection officers at all levels with sufficient quantity, quality, capacity and prestige to match the tasks.

The Provincial Party Secretary also emphasized that the synchronous and effective implementation of inspection and supervision work in the coming time is an important factor contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Provincial Party Committee, maintaining stability, solidarity, unity, self-reliance, and innovation spirit. Thereby, contributing to the comprehensive completion of the targets of the entire 2020-2025 term, creating momentum for Quang Ninh to enter a new era of development of the country.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Standing Committee awarded the Emulation Flag to the Ha Long City Party Committee's Inspection Committee - a collective with outstanding achievements leading the emulation movement of inspection and supervision work of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee in 2024; awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of inspection and supervision work of Quang Ninh province in 2024.
