
Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Tan Dung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of Danang University, congratulated the University of Foreign Languages on 40 years of establishment and development; at the same time, he affirmed that entering a new phase is a great opportunity for the school to create a breakthrough in development.
The University of Foreign Languages needs to focus on building a development strategy to become one of the leading language training institutions in the country, with regional and world vision, contributing to the whole country entering the era of integration and development.
To achieve that great goal, the school focuses on improving the quality of training to meet the requirements of the global labor market, paying attention to student affairs, promoting international cooperation, focusing on developing a team of highly qualified lecturers, and continuing to innovate university governance associated with digital transformation.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Principal of the University of Foreign Languages, the school is constantly innovating its training model, building a dynamic academic ecosystem, and pioneering the application of information technology in teaching.
These contributions affirm a solid professional position, at the same time demonstrate social responsibility, contribute to spreading knowledge and training high-quality human resources for the country.
In the coming time, all cadres, civil servants, employees and students will continuously strive and unite to make the school develop more and more, worthy of a large university in the Central Highlands and the whole country, gradually integrating into the region and the world.
On this occasion, the school was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in training; an emulation flag from the People's Committee of Da Nang City recognizing 40 years of construction and development. Many groups and individuals of the school received certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, and certificates of merit from the director of Da Nang University.
On April 11, 1985, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a Decision to establish the Danang University of Foreign Languages, aiming to train human resources to meet the requirements of integration and economic and social development of the Central region.
After 40 years of construction and development, up to now, the school has organized enrollment and training for 17 undergraduate majors with 29 majors, 6 master's majors and 3 doctoral majors, with a scale of nearly 8,000 students, trainees and postgraduates; the school's staff and civil servants have 325 people, of which 27% of lecturers have doctoral degrees.
