Vinh Long University of Technical Education meets quality accreditation standards for the second cycle

Achieving the second cycle of quality accreditation is an important milestone for Vinh Long University of Technical Education in perfecting the internal quality assurance system, improving management efficiency and training quality.

On the afternoon of June 21, Vinh Long University of Technical Education (VLUTE) in collaboration with Saigon Center for Education Quality Assessment (CEA Saigon) held a ceremony to announce the decision and award the certificate of meeting the quality assessment standards of higher education institutions in the second cycle according to the quality standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, higher education institutions must conduct a periodic assessment and accreditation cycle for educational institutions every 5 years. Vinh Long University of Technical Education completed the first accreditation of educational institutions and was granted a certificate in 2020.

During the second assessment cycle, the school continued to maintain and improve quality, addressing the recommendations of the previous external assessment team. The achievement of the second accreditation certificate is the result of a serious and comprehensive self-assessment process according to 25 standards and 111 criteria of Circular 12/2017/TT-BGDDT.

The school has issued full policies, processes, and tools in the direction of standardization and transparency from the development of training programs to the assessment of learners, feedback from alumni, employers, and improvement activities based on specific data evidence. In addition, the application of information technology in quality management is also promoted with an internal assessment software system, online opinion surveys, and centralized management of evidence documents, helping to effectively control and continuously improve.

Over the past 5 years, Vinh Long University of Technical Education has made many improvements in its training programs towards developing learners’ capacity, integrating knowledge – skills – professional attitudes. Most of the training programs have been accredited according to domestic and international standards, and periodically reviewed, consulted with experts, employers and adjusted to suit the requirements of general education reform.

The rate of students having jobs after 1 year of graduation is always maintained at a high level. Scientific research, knowledge transfer and community service are also outstanding strengths of the school. Many ministerial and state-level topics have been effectively implemented, contributing to educational innovation and the development of high-quality pedagogical resources.
