Anticipating the modern media trend, from April 2025, the Tax Department of 7 Dak Lak provinces officially applied social networks to propaganda work. "This is a highly interactive communication method, suitable for the information access habits of many groups of subjects such as individual business households, small businesses, online traders - an increasingly large force in the current digital economy ", said Mr. Nguyen Van Y, Deputy Head of Tax Department of 7 Dak Lak provinces.

According to Mr. Y, since establishing the Dak Lak 7-province Tax Base fanpage, the unit has posted more than 100 news, articles, and short videos about new tax policies on Facebook. The posted content is carefully edited, concise, easy to understand, focusing on practical instructions such as: how to use electronic invoices generated from cash registers, install eTax Mobile application, look up tax code information, update tax exemption regulations... Currently, this fanpage attracts more than 1,000 followers, interacting regularly.

From the implementation, it is clear that the form of tax policy propaganda via social networks has brought about clear results. First of all, people and businesses grasp policy information more promptly, no longer passively waiting for tax officials to come to their place to explain. In addition, taxpayers can directly message and comment on fanpages to receive support and answers on the same day.

Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Nhung, owner of Tuyet Nhung grocery store (in Tuy Hoa ward) said that thanks to following the fanpage of Dak Lak Province's 7th Branch Tax, she gradually got used to installing the application, looking up information and fulfilling her tax obligations right on her phone. "On the fanpage of Dak Lak Province's 7th Branch Tax, the tax authority posted very specific steps, with illustrative images and short, easy-to-understand videos. Whenever I was unclear, I texted and received immediate instructions. Thanks to that, I saved the trouble of going to the tax authority to ask," Ms. Nhung shared.

According to statistics, up to now, the Tax Department of 7 Dak Lak provinces has completed many assigned targets. Specifically, regarding electronic invoices generated from cash registers, 77/77 enterprises in the management area have registered to use them; 247/247 business households with revenue of over 1 billion VND/year that are required to implement have fully and on time implemented, achieving 100% of the plan.

In the work of installing and using the eTax mobile application, 3,724/3,852 business households completed, reaching a rate of 96.67%. The work of pinning coordinates on the digital map of business households was carried out by 4,849/4,849 households, reaching 100% of the assigned target. The work of standardizing tax codes for business households and individual businesses also reached 100% of the target. The work of collecting and updating information on business households to serve tax management reached 60%, corresponding to 2,627 households.

“The above results would be difficult to achieve without timely support from communication work on social networks. Not only does this increase people's initiative, it also helps tax authorities reduce the amount of work arising in the stage of receiving and handling inquiries. More importantly, we clearly see a change in awareness and active cooperation from taxpayers,” Mr. Nguyen Van Y affirmed.

The leaders of the 7 Dak Lak Tax Departments added that in 2025, the tax sector will continue to measure taxpayer satisfaction with the tax agency's services. Accordingly, propaganda work - especially propaganda on social networks - is identified as one of the important contents that need investment. Therefore, in the coming time, the unit will continue to improve the quality of propaganda on digital platforms.

In the immediate future, the unit will focus on standardizing communication content in a concise, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-share manner. Instructional videos will be invested more systematically in terms of script, images, and dialogue to create closeness with the people. In addition, the team of tax officials at the grassroots level will regularly update and share on zalo groups and fanpages to help people and businesses easily look up, grasp information, and fulfill tax obligations on time and in accordance with regulations.
