(Dan Tri) - Although the selling price of Vespa 946 Dragon at private dealers has "cooled down", it is still as expensive as a class A car like Hyundai Grand i10.
With the nature of collecting along with the need for use, special versions of the Vespa 946 scooter line are often sought after by "players" in Vietnam. However, the number of genuine vehicles imported is not much, causing the transfer price to be pushed up.
Even private motorbike businesses also import these models to meet the demand. Vespa 946 Dragon is an example and this is a special version for the year of the Dragon and limited production of 1,888 vehicles worldwide .
The first one was brought into the country in early March by a private importer, with a rumored price of nearly 2 billion VND, equal to a luxury car model like the Mercedes-Benz GLC (from 1.909 billion VND).

After that, this scooter line was quickly distributed by the official dealer with the price of 455 million VND. However, the quantity was not much and quickly sold out.
By mid-2024, private motorbike dealers will continue to import this model, quoting prices of around 700 million VND and at times up to 800 million VND. This price is as expensive as a 7-seat car like the Mitsubishi Xpander.
Up to now, the price of Vespa 946 Dragon has "cooled down". Most private establishments quote the price of the car at around 500 million VND. One unit in Ho Chi Minh City even applies the price of 468 million VND, only 13 million VND higher than the official price.

Thus, it can be seen that Vespa 946 Dragon attracts customers but has not created a "fever" like the special Christian Dior version distributed in 2022. In early March 2022, Vespa 946 Christian Dior returned to the country as an official product with a limited quantity of 33 units, distributed at a selling price of 700 million VND.
Since then, the popularity of this scooter model has been continuously increasing, with owners making a profit of 200-300 million VND in the first week of trading. At its peak, the transfer price of the Vespa 946 Dragon was pushed up to 1.6 billion VND in the used car market.
At the end of 2022, the Vespa 946 Christian Dior also "cooled down" but still cost around 1 billion VND. Currently, there are still some private dealers offering this model for sale at 800 million VND; the seller said the vehicle has not been used, 100% new.

With Vespa 946 Dragon, the attraction of this model lies in the yellow paint with emerald green dragon motifs winding from the body to the front fairing. On the body of the vehicle, there are the numbers 12, 00, 88 and 76 representing the years of the dragon in the past, including: Nham Thin 2012, Canh Thin 2000, Mau Thin 1988 and Binh Thin 1976.
The Vespa 946 Dragon's equipment is no different from the regular version. The vehicle has LED lights, 2-channel ABS anti-lock brakes and anti-slip system.
