Marcus Rashford is becoming the center of attention at Manchester United after problems related to attitude and performance. Being left out of the squad by coach Ruben Amorim in the recent Manchester derby has caused the English striker to show a negative attitude. Rashford even publicly announced his intention to leave MU in the future, affirming that he will not regret leaving.
Although coach Amorim praised Amad Diallo and opened the opportunity for Rashford to return to the first team, according to information from the Manchester Evening News, Rashford was absent from recent training sessions at Carrington. After being asked to return to training, he had to go home because of a fever. However, just a day later, Rashford appeared at his old primary school to give gifts to disadvantaged children.
United could now be ready to let Rashford leave in the January transfer window, for around £40m. Although he still has three years left on his contract, Rashford's future at United is becoming increasingly uncertain.
In that context, Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres has sent a signal to MU, with the intention of joining one of Europe's top teams.
Gyokeres, who has been in excellent form this season with 26 goals in 24 games, could be a potential replacement for Rashford if he leaves, but his release clause at Sporting Lisbon is set at £83m.
With the current situation, MU may have to consider replacing Rashford with Gyokeres or another player if Rashford's career at Old Trafford shows no signs of improvement.
