
Attending the ceremony were General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Member of the Party Central Committee; Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense , Head of the Committee for the Advancement of Women of the Ministry of National Defense; Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong; Head of the General Staff, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; representatives of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, specialized women officers of units under the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that, inheriting and promoting the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women, over the past 80 years, women in the Army have always been an inseparable part of the revolutionary armed forces - loyal soldiers, mothers, wives, and loyal, kind comrades, contributing to beautifying the tradition and noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers".
Currently, with more than 20% of the total military force, women in the Army have been taking on important roles in almost all fields of work, including those with special characteristics, requiring high levels of expertise, professional skills, physical strength and political courage. In new, difficult fields requiring high levels of expertise, women in the Army continue to affirm their intelligence, courage, creativity and desire to contribute.
To promote the role of women in the Army in the coming time, the Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army requested the entire army to focus on implementing a number of key contents, including focusing on leadership and direction to seriously and synchronously implement, ensuring unity between the goal of gender equality and the requirements of military and defense tasks; creating an environment and conditions for women in the Army to develop comprehensively, have opportunities to contribute and advance equally; build the families of officers and soldiers to truly be loving homes, sustainable foundations of society and solid rear of the Army.

General Trinh Van Quyet noted that Women's Union organizations in the entire army need to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical, effective, creative direction, suitable to the characteristics of each unit and each subject; effectively implement the "Digital Education for the People" movement, promote digital transformation in women's work and activities of union organizations; apply science and technology, innovate in management, operation, movement organization, propaganda, learning, experience sharing, connecting and spreading the good values of women in the Army.
At the same time, agencies and units need to proactively build the image of "Typical Military Women in the period of digital transformation and international integration", with steadfastness, creative thinking, integration capacity, truly a shining example of qualities, intelligence, culture, discipline, contributing to building an exemplary, healthy, united military cultural environment; pay attention to building, nurturing, planning, and using a team of female officers in the Army with leadership and management skills, capable of undertaking tasks in new conditions.
On behalf of the Central Military Commission, the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, General Trinh Van Quyet expressed his belief that the emulation movement of women in the Army in the new period will have stronger and more comprehensive development steps, with more and more typical and excellent examples appearing, contributing to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern Vietnam People's Army, building a strong and modern all-people national defense, firmly protecting the Fatherland.

Over the past 5 years, the emulation movement and the work of building and replicating advanced models among women in the Army have developed in both breadth and depth, maintained regularly and continuously, creating a widespread influence. The movement is always closely linked with emulation movements, campaigns and the Victory Emulation Movement of the entire army, creating great motivation, attracting a large number and encouraging all cadres and members to compete to complete well and excellently the assigned tasks. The models are always focused on nurturing, building, maintaining and promoting, determined to overcome difficulties, self-reliance, self-strengthening, reaching for new achievements.
Up to now, nearly 90% of female officers and members of the Army have met the three criteria of the emulation movement "Women in the Army with intelligence and courage, completing their tasks well, building happy families, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era"... In the past 5 years, one individual has been awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; 3 collectives and 4 female individuals of the Army have been awarded the Vietnam Women's Award; one individual has been awarded the Nguyen Thi Dinh Award; 3 female soldiers have been awarded the title of Associate Professor, 10 female soldiers have been awarded the title of People's Artist, 19 female soldiers have been awarded the title of Meritorious Artist, 5 female soldiers have been awarded the title of Meritorious Teacher, 15 female soldiers have been awarded the title of Meritorious Doctor; 588 collectives have been awarded the Emulation Flag of the Director of the General Department of Politics and thousands of female individuals have been awarded the title of "Outstanding Female Cadre", "Outstanding Female Union Member".
The Military Women's Committee was honored to receive the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal (2023) from the Party and State, the Vietnam Women's Award (2024), and the Emulation Flag for Excellent Unit for 5 consecutive years from the General Department of Politics and the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union...

On this occasion, 63 outstanding collectives were awarded the Emulation Flag of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; 175 typical advanced individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army for their outstanding contributions in the period 2020 - 2025.
