Admission to grade 10 of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities: Candidates are required to take 4 subjects

TPO - This year, candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities will take 4 subjects instead of just specialized subjects like previous years.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has just announced the enrollment plan for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities.

This year, implementing the Ministry of Education and Training 's Junior High School and High School Admission Regulations, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities organizes an entrance exam for 4 subjects. Of which, 3 general subjects are Literature (essay), Math (multiple choice), English (multiple choice) and specialized subjects are Literature, History, Geography (specialized subjects are essay exams).

Candidates who are eligible for admission must fully participate in 3 general exams (score 4 or higher) and specialized subject exams (score 6 or higher), with no subject being suspended.

In 2025, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities will not recruit students directly or add priority points. In previous years, candidates only took exams in specialized subjects. This year, due to changes in the regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training requires specialized high schools to organize exams in 3 subjects: Math, Literature and 1 subject from the subjects that students study together with the specialized subject.

Candidates take the exam from May 24 to 25. The school will announce the exam results and admission results to specialized classes before June 20.
