Vietnam's U16 women's team won a penalty shootout against Wales' U16 women's team, ending their journey at the UEFA-organized international friendly tournament with 5th place overall.

Vietnam U16 women's team met Wales U16 women's team in the final match of the international U16 women's football friendly tournament organized by UEFA in Türkiye. Previously, coach Akira Ijiri and his team won Botswana U16 women's team 5-0, lost to the US U16 women's team 0-8 and lost to Türkiye U16 women's team 1-3.

In the final match, Vietnam U16 women created many opportunities and quickly turned them into goals. In the following minutes, although Wales U16 women equalized 1-1, coach Akira Ijiri's students played with great effort and determination.
