The U23 Indonesia team has officially become the first name to participate in the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament after the final round of Group A ended.

In the key match of Group A, host Indonesia and U23 Malaysia wasted too many opportunities and left the field with a 0-0 draw.

This result was enough for U23 Indonesia to take the top spot in Group A with 7 points, thereby advancing straight to the semi-finals.

In the same match, U23 Philippines defeated U23 Brunei 2-0 to take second place in the group. However, U23 Philippines must wait for the results of the remaining two groups to determine their chances of reaching the semi-finals.
