In this training session, head coach Kim Sang-sik divided the team into two groups, the main players mainly did recovery exercises, while the remaining group continued to receive additional technical and tactical training.
Before the training session, striker Nguyen Ngoc My - who opened the score in the victory against U23 Bangladesh, shared with the press.
“The match against U23 Bangladesh was the first match I started and scored for U23 Vietnam. I felt very happy and excited,” Ngoc My said.
The player born in 2004 also affirmed that playing for Phu Tho Club at Viet Tri Stadium gave him great confidence: "When returning to a familiar stadium, I feel much more comfortable, easily adapting to the playing space and the audience."

The 21-year-old striker also got emotional when talking about his family, especially the moment he scored the opening goal: “I heard my mother cried when she saw the goal.
It is a special feeling, making me even happier when I do something to make my family proud. I would like to thank my mother for always accompanying and supporting me."
According to the match schedule, U23 Vietnam will face U23 Singapore on the evening of September 6.
Another victory will open the door for coach Kim Sang-sik and his team to get closer to the goal of winning a ticket to the 2026 AFC U23 Championship.
