Speaking at the ceremony, Lao Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Darany Phommavongsa emphasized: "The Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam will contribute to strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam."
“On this occasion, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam for its efforts and close coordination, contributing to the successful organization of the Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam. May the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam be forever green and sustainable,” said Deputy Minister Darany Phommavongsa.
Expressing his thanks to Deputy Minister Darany Phommavongsa and the delegates of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong said that the relationship between Vietnam and Laos is a special relationship with a history of exemplary cooperation, rare in the world . The two countries "lean on" the majestic Truong Son mountain range, and drink the same water from the Mekong River.
Emphasizing President Ho Chi Minh 's advice: "Vietnam and Laos, our two countries - The love is deeper than the Red River and Mekong River", Deputy Minister Ho An Phong affirmed that the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between the two countries was built and nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and the leaders of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to become increasingly close and profound.
Over the past years, the two countries have strengthened comprehensive cooperation in many aspects. In the field of culture, sports and tourism, the two countries have had meaningful, effective and rich exchanges and cooperation. Cooperation in socio-economic development, national defense and security has made good progress... worthy of the long history and tradition of the two countries.

The opening art program of the Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam 2025 brought a warm atmosphere, imbued with friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos. The program is a combination of music, dance and traditional costumes, expressing the cultural beauty, solidarity and close bond between the two countries.
The art performances by the artists introduced the cultural characteristics of the peaceful and hospitable country of Laos, while honoring the loyal and steadfast love between the two peoples.
The profound melodies, graceful dances and emotional performances took the audience through an artistic journey that was both traditional and modern, imbued with the spirit of friendship and cooperation.

Not only was it an impressive opening for the Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam, the event was also a vivid demonstration of the special relationship, exemplary solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos in the new era.

After the Opening Ceremony in Hanoi, the art troupe from Laos will continue to perform in Thanh Hoa to bring unique works and the beauty of Lao culture to the Vietnamese people.
