Candidate for Head Coach of Indian National Team: Coach Troussier "confronts" Coach Park Hang Seo

Ông Troussier được nhận định là ứng viên sáng giá cho vị trí HLV trưởng tuyển Ấn Độ.
Mr. Troussier is considered a strong candidate for the position of head coach of the Indian team.

The Times of India writes: "The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is screening the applications it has received for the post of India head coach. Among the candidates are several prominent names who have led teams to compete in the FIFA World Cup."

Accordingly, the Indian press named three potential candidates: French coach Philippe Troussier, who led Japan in the 2002 World Cup, coach Miguel 'Piojo' Herrera, who led Mexico to the round of 16 in the 2014 World Cup, and German coach Winfried Schafer, who led Cameroon in the 2002 World Cup. Mr. Winfried Schafer also spent 2 years leading the Thai team.

What these three coaches have in common is that they all have experience in the World Cup arena and they are unemployed. That is what the All India Football Federation desperately needs as they want to build a team towards the goal of qualifying for the 2030 World Cup.

However, the Indian press is also worried that these coaches are demanding too high a salary, making it impossible for the AIFF to pay. Indian reporter Panaji commented: "As of now, the selection process is only at the shortlist stage. Considering these big names may not be feasible because they all demand high salaries."

Before the deadline of July 3, AIFF received a total of 291 applications, including 100 candidates with UEFA professional licenses, 20 with AFC professional licenses and 3 with CONMEBOL (South American) licenses.

"We have received a very warm response from some prominent names who have expressed interest in coming to India," said AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey.

As we prepare to write a new chapter in Indian football, it is important to have a coach who is committed to developing Indian football, understands the culture and helps shape the national football philosophy.

We hope to have a coach by the end of July, to start work with the Indian team during the FIFA Day period in September."

Previously, many sources said that Vietnam coach Park Hang Seo also applied for the position of coach of the Indian national team. It seems that Mr. Park will have to compete with hundreds of opponents to be able to sit in the hot seat of India, including Mr. Troussier.
