More than 200 trainees are managers, enterprises, cooperatives and business households in the province.

In his opening speech, Mr. Duong Vu Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: In recent years, along with the wave of digital transformation, e-commerce has become an important driving force to promote economic growth, helping businesses expand their markets quickly, effectively and cost-effectively. This is not only an inevitable trend, but also an opportunity for local businesses to reach further in the domestic and foreign markets.

In Ca Mau, e-commerce is growing strongly, especially in the fields of agriculture, aquaculture and OCOP products. However, the reality shows that many businesses and business households still lack knowledge, skills and legal understanding when implementing e-commerce.

Implementing Plan No. 190 dated September 4, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee, the training course aims to update domestic and international e-commerce trends, and at the same time equip the skills to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to help businesses optimize processes, improve productivity and business efficiency.

Mr. Duong Vu Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ca Mau province, shared about the role of e-commerce in digital transformation and protecting consumer rights.

Mr. Duong Vu Nam emphasized: “E-commerce is a fast, economical and effective channel for marketing and distributing goods. If in the past you had to meet and negotiate directly with each customer, now with just one click you can transact anywhere.”

Along with promoting digital transformation, Ca Mau also pays special attention to protecting consumer rights. This year's training course has the theme "Transparent Information - Responsible Consumption", helping students master legal knowledge, skills in identifying counterfeit goods, resolving disputes and advising on safe consumption in the digital environment.

The program also introduces new content on decentralization and delegation of powers according to Decree 146/2025/ND-CP and 139/ND-CP, contributing to perfecting the coordination mechanism between agencies, organizations and enterprises in consumer protection work.

Ms. Tran Ngoc Loan, General Director of Nice EDU Company, committed to accompanying the Department of Industry and Trade in training human resources, aiming for a safe business environment, focusing on consumers.

Organizing the training course is a timely step, demonstrating the province's strategic vision in improving digital capacity for officials and businesses.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong, Head of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics, Kien Giang University, presented the topic "E-commerce in the digital age and the Droppii e-commerce platform".

Also in the class, Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong, Head of the Department of Business Administration, Kien Giang University, introduced the topic "E-commerce in the digital age and the Droppii e-commerce platform". She presented on popular e-commerce business models such as B2B, B2C, C2C, D2C, along with the development trends of e-commerce globally and in Vietnam. In addition, students practiced applying the Droppii platform and experienced integrating AI in business operations, making it easy to apply in practice.

The training course ended in an exciting atmosphere, spreading the spirit of innovation, cooperation and sustainable development, towards a modern business environment, transparent and safe consumption in the digital age.
