The moment Russia's TOS-2 Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower opened fire, sweeping through Ukrainian targets.

The Russian Ministry of Defense released a video showing Russian forces using TOS-2 Solntsepyok heavy flamethrowers to attack Ukrainian targets in the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the video , Russian TOS-2 Solntsepyok artillery teams operating in the special operations area, moved to the deployment site, loaded heavy thermobaric shells and fired at Ukrainian targets present near the Verbovoye settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Camera footage of the TOS-2 Solntsepyok flamethrower attack shows multiple rounds hitting the target, creating huge fireballs and smoke rising into the night sky.

Compared to the TOS-1 heavy flamethrower system, the TOS-2 is many times more dangerous - the cabin is armored and the engine is more powerful, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 100 km/h. A launcher is installed at the rear, and the missile range is increased to 15 km (compared to 3 km in the old versions).

TOS-2 is essentially a thermobaric rocket system. TOS-2 has improved technical and tactical characteristics compared to its predecessors TOS-1 and TOS-1A Solntsepek.

If the TOS-1 and its successor TOS-1A Solntsepek were mounted on the T-72 tracked tank chassis, the TOS-2 was mounted on the Ural all-terrain armored vehicle chassis.

TOS-2 is equipped with an automatic fire control system that significantly increases the accuracy of firing. The weapon has a certain defense against high-precision enemy weapons. TOS-2 also does not need a special loading device because the system has an integrated loading crane.
