According to initial information, the incident occurred on Bao Loc pass, in Da M'ri town, Da Huoai district.

At the time, a truck with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate carrying an excavator (driver's identity unknown) was traveling on Bao Loc Pass , in the direction from Bao Loc City to Ho Chi Minh City. When the truck entered a sharp turn, it collided with a sleeper bus - traveling in the same direction ahead.

The collision caused the truck and the excavator on board to overturn, lean against the guardrail and block one direction of traffic on Bao Loc pass.

The accident crushed the truck cabin and damaged the body of the passenger bus; the truck driver suffered minor injuries.
