'Trang An Documents' - a model for heritages

The 'Trang An Document' has been approved by authorities and experts, affirming that Trang An is a model of heritage conservation and promotion that other domestic and international heritages can learn from.

The "Trang An Document" was jointly approved by state management agencies, international organizations, scholars, experts, communities and businesses before the closing of the international scientific conference "Brand value of Trang An scenic complex associated with heritage conservation policies and sustainable tourism development", held on August 19, in Ninh Binh.

The approval of the Trang An Document is an important event, affirming that the management, conservation and promotion of the value of Trang An World Heritage in Ninh Binh province has become a model.

The content of the Trang An Document has 4 articles, including: vision and goals; core principles; strategic commitments; international cooperation. In which, it affirms that Trang An has become a typical model of sustainable development based on heritage, with nature as the foundation, culture as the driving force, people as the center and community as the subject.

With international responsibility, Trang An has become an internationally recognized model of mixed heritage management, a reference standard model for promoting the role of heritage in supporting inclusive development...

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh People's Committee, emphasized that Ninh Binh province has flexibly and effectively applied the public-private partnership model, ensuring harmonious interests between the community - government and businesses in managing and preserving Trang An heritage, turning this heritage into a nucleus to promote tourism development, ensuring social welfare and sustainable livelihoods.

Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was recognized by UNESCO as a mixed cultural and natural world heritage site in 2014, becoming the first "dual" heritage site in Southeast Asia.

Trang An has many outstanding global values, such as: the interaction between humans and nature; geological history and landscape formation process; outstanding value of traditional settlement with cultural and spiritual continuity; biodiversity and outstanding natural phenomena.

After many years of preserving and promoting its value, Trang An heritage is currently estimated to have an economic value of 213 billion USD.
